What to wear at the Beach in San Diego | How to dress like a local

You can dress like a local and feel the vibe of the California lifestyle in 3 easy steps!

First:

Guys get some board shorts. Ditch the cargo shorts and swim trunks. Board shorts feel great at the beach, dry quickly and look Cali stylish.

For Ladies and gentlemen, sandals by Reef and Olukai, worth the investment, as these are comfortable enough to wear all day.

Ladies for your beach wear including bathing suits, bikinis, shorts tops and hoodies, check out South Coast Wahine's for women in Pacific Beach next to Crystal Pier; surf shops are where you will find the best and latest styles. Avoid the mall! Guys, check out South Coast on Felspar. Link below

Wahine's 4500 Ocean Blvd, San Diego, CA 92109 (next to Crystal Pier)

For men, South Coast at 740 Felspar St, San Diego, CA 92109

Second:

Hoodies for the windy weather and at night time. You'll find them at nearly every surf shop or souvenir shop on the boardwalks.

Third:

T-Shirts, Jeans and Sunscreen + Coconut Water :)

Surf brand T-shirts, local eatery T-shirts and Tank Tops are ideal.

And Do NOT forget your sunscreen! Our coastal Sun is no joke, and will burn you easily.

Stay hydrated with Coconut Water.

Going to dinner at most places you are fine in nice jeans and a t-shirt or nice button down for places in La Jolla.
